Hostels in Bolivia

About HI Hostels

Founded more than hundred years ago it has always been the goal of the Youth Hostelling movement to let especially young people get to know scenery, cities and people of the world.
Hostelling International is the brand name of the International Youth Hostel Federation and its member all over the world. Hostelling International stands for more than ninety Youth Hostel Associations in over eighty countries, operating 4,000+ hostels. No other hostel operator can match us for sheer quality or variety of accommodation! Unlike bland motels, impersonal hotels or dodgy backpackers, HI Hostels are lively meeting places, full of like-minded people.

All HI Hostels have to fulfill the international Assured Standards Scheme. This means you can rely on a consistent level of services and facilities wherever you stay in comfort of bed, cleanliness in toilets and showers, security for your luggage and belongings and sufficient privacy in separated dormitories.

HI-Bolivia – more than just hostels

Hostelling International Bolivia is presenting a network of more than twenty hostels in the most important and scenic places across Bolivia. Besides that we also support several rural villages for example with volunteer work. In collaboration with the villagers and the local administration we develop projects and help the villages with volunteer work in hospitals, schools, kindergartens, … That’s how we try to improve the living conditions of all inhabitants, especially of the young.
But also in cities our volunteers our volunteers are committed to social work and support intercultural exchange and a better international understanding.
As communication is essential we are also offering Spanish classes at the HI Hostel in Sucre.
